Resolutions on human rights and democracy  

Parliament will hold urgent debates on the following human rights, democracy, and rule of law topics on Wednesday afternoon, followed by votes on Thursday.

  • The case of Ryan Cornelius in Dubai
  • The arbitrary arrest and torture of Belgian-Portuguese researcher Joseph Figueira Martin in Central African Republic
  • The urgent need to protect religious minorities in Syria, following the recent terrorist attack on the Mar Elias Church in Damascus
